An Outfit On Repeat

Recently I had a couple special occasions to go to that didn’t require me to dress up but at the same time since they were memorable events, that gave me a little flexibility on how much I could dress up.

Comming from someone who works from home, I generally take advantage of any opportunity to dress up when I can.

I wore this look twice in the past few weeks. The first time to my relatives bridal shower, and the second to my younger sisters high school graduation.

I love mixing patterns, I feel like it gives so much personality to an outfit. Leopard print, particulary in a silk midi skirt has been quite popular and when I found this one from free people I couldn’t pass it up. I got it from my favorite local department store, HBC during a flash sale at half price. Like just about all materialistic things I buy I wait for a sale to be more economical. There is nothing like the thrill of a deal, am I right?

When I saw this purse from Matt&Nat I knew right away it was exactly what I’ve been looking for. I wanted something that was practical, kept me packing light, and easy on the shoulder for day to day shopping. But it turned out to be a win-win since it fits right into today’s trends of miniature handbags.

These sunglasses were the perfect touch to and from, they are a h&m find. I really don’t care all that much for designer glasses, I don’t want to have to be so delicate with them. These have held up great over the last few months and are a perfect touch when I want to play up a sexy look.

These beautiful shell hoops I bought at a small boutique in St. John, NB while on our honeymoon. Because of that I wont be able to link the exact pair but I’ll source some similar options. I love how simple and timeless they are, while being on trend.

These white strappies are stunning, I was actually shocked when I first received them in the mail. They were very affordable, and while not genuine leather they really feel like it and have great texture resembling it.

And while cheering on my baby sister as she walked accross the stage, crouching or leaning to get those perfect shots I went home without too sore of feet since the heel is pretty moderate.

And this top? It’s a long time favourite from many moons ago. It was a freshman purchase back when I was shopping for highschool. I loved how these fine stripes paired with the print on the skirt.

I really appreciate when I can mix old with new. While I love trying new things, it really puts a knot in my stomach when I feel like I’m over consuming. I love how over the years I’ve been able to style this top with so many trends in a variety of ways.

Here’s some sources where you can get the same products or something similar. If your anything like me, be patient and put your work in and you’ll be able to get those top brands for a better price then from the high streets.

Top: some dupes as similar as I could find, if you really love the tie on the neck with the casual style of the t-shirt you could pair some of these with a scarf otherwise here is something a bit more similar
